A Taste of the Region's "Winchelsea Larder" specialises in the produce of Southwest Victoria. Situated in the centre of Winchelsea right on the Princes Highway, the Larder is a great place to stop for an excellent Jasper fair-trade organic coffee or a proper loose-leaf tea, to enjoy a bite to eat, and take a relaxing break before continuing your Otway Harvest Trail adventure.
The menu and daily Specials feature seasonal and local produce such as Otway Prime grass-fed and aged beef and lamb. Light lunches include home-made pies, sausage rolls, vegetarian pasties, quiches and salads. See winchelsea-larder.com.au for full details. There are also children's options such as mini sausage rolls. In addition, Winchelsea Larder has started breakfasts also featuring local produce - Otway Prime sausages, La Madre bread, and more. Have a look at the Winchelsea Larder Breakfast Menu for more detail.
Takeaway is available, plus gift hampers highlighting the superb produce from the region. Note that gift hampers can be delivered Australia-wide.
Winchelsea Larder has a strong eco-friendly policy, and supports Winchelsea's "Plastic Bag Free" shopping centre initiative. With comfy chairs and kids toys, the cafe is a welcoming stop for young families. Regional artists works are on display and for sale around the shop. Internet access is available for a small fee (both wirelessly and at an internet station).
