Tarndwarncoort Stays

Hosted accommodation nestled amongst the surrounds of the Tarndwarncoort Homestead complex. For a hand-crafted stay in two unique properties.

The Stables Studio – A perfect space for 1 or 2 people to take in a country retreat without giving up the comforts of modern life. 1 bedroom for up to 2 guests.

The Farmer’s Cottage – A delightful 1940s workers cottage situated in the middle of a heritage working sheep farm. 2 bedrooms for up to 4 guests.

The Stables Studio offers an open, airy, modern fitout within the former horse stables originally built around 1905. A light filled double level space featuring textile art pieces, natural materials and the simple luxury of quiet space surrounded by trees, sheep and even an old stone ruin. Featuring a king size bed upstairs, air-conditioning, a large shower, full kitchen and wifi.

The Farmer’s Cottage was built in 1946 by host Tom Dennis’ grandfather. The cottage’s modesty is part of its charm. It sleeps up to 4 guests in two bedrooms, both with comfortable king beds, and one can be split into two king singles if required. Enjoy meals in the open plan, light-filled kitchen and dining area, furnished with a rustic vintage farmhouse table & chairs, kitchen dresser and crockery, all in keeping with the cottage’s age. The fully-equipped kitchen with pantry staples makes preparing your favourite meals easy, with plenty of wonderful local produce available along the Otway Harvest Trail. And next door’s pasture-raised eggs don’t come any fresher!
