The Loaf and Lounge

Owned and operated by a young local family, The Loaf and Lounge proudly channels the classic recipes and styles of the original “bakery on the corner of Manifold Street”. Each loaf of bread is shaped by the bakery team, made from scratch using the finest Australian flour. Our classic sourdough loaves are made from a culture that has been passed down from one artisan baker to another. A living legacy left by those who have had the honour to “toss the tins” at The Loaf.

Our cakes and sweet treats are also made from scratch onsite with seasonal ingredients used to highlight the excellent local produce available. Our own blend coffee, locally roasted in Warrnambool, ensures that our customers enjoy a unique caffeine experience. For those looking for something savoury our pies and pasties are warmed and ready to devour. The golden pastry, made with locally sourced butter, is the perfect vessel to enjoy quality local meats and vegetables. Our café kitchen also offers fresh savoury options each day with house-made sauces, relishes and pickles adding a special Loaf and Lounge flavour to the offerings.
